Energy suppliers British Gas have joined forces with Sainsbury's to offer customers a range of energy efficiency services.
According to Marketing Magazine, the two companies will work together to provide consumers with cheap electricity and gas packages.
It comes after the energy supplier signed up to the Nectar loyalty card scheme, replacing former energy partner EDF Energy.
"With effect from the 8th February 2011 the partnership between Sainsbury's Energy and EDF Energy will come to an end, after which all existing Sainsbury's Energy customers will continue to be customers of EDF Energy," the supermarket chain said.
It will soon be launching an "exciting new partnership" to offer solar panels, roof insulation and boiler repairs to cheap energy customers and chief executive Justin King is expected to announce more details on February 9th.
British Gas raised prices for its energy customers last month following wholesale gas price increases.
