Business energy clients can use this year's World Environment Day (WED) to kick start the process of going green.
This is the suggestion from Trewin Restorick, chief executive of Global Action Plan, who said there is a number of things companies can do aside from marking the awareness day on June 5th.
"We would recommend that people use WED as inspiration to kick start lasting change by setting up a green team at work or making small lifestyle changes at home, like choosing to recycle or not eating meat for one day a week - there are so many small things people can do that have the potential to make a huge difference when people act together," he noted.
Mr Restorick also advised keeping employees engaged with the green plan is "really important", while exploring attitudes and barriers to change is an "easy and cost-effective" way to build a staff engagement plan.
