Taking a few simple steps could help business energy clients get cheap electricity and gas, it has been stated.
The Institute of Hospitality noted there are several low or no-cost measures firms can take that may have a large benefit to enterprises, Caterer and Hotelkeeper reports.
It was observed that reducing energy expenses by 20 per cent could have the same impact on a firm's bottom line as a five per cent boost in sales.
As well as ensuring they are getting the best deal from suppliers by performing a price comparison, there are several online tools that can be used to identify areas where gas and electricity usage can be reduced.
It is vital businesses in the hospitality industry do not overheat rooms, corridors or hot water supplies, the Institute stated, while they should also avoid turning on air conditioning until temperatures rise over 24 degrees C.
