Energy suppliers npower win top industry award - 16/09/2010
Energy suppliers npower has been won a top industry accolade at the first ever Energy Event Awards.
The company won the Consumer Supplier of the Year Award in recognition of its "outstanding service" provided to domestic and business energy customers, with the npower's Optimisation Desk identified as a key element of the firm winning the award.
David Cockshott, director of industrial and commercial markets at npower, accepted the award, which was presented at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham last week.
"We are particularly proud of the accolade because we were nominated by our own industrial and commercial business customers, and we'd like to thank them for their support," he said.
The Energy Event is one of Europe's largest exhibition and conferences and is focused on energy procurement, management and efficiency.
More than 110 exhibitors were in attendance this year, taking advantage of the opportunity to meet energy suppliers and other people in the energy industry, and view the latest technological developments.
