The Labour party in Scotland has unveiled plans to make the country's homes the most energy efficient in the UK, energy comparison customers might be interested to hear.
Leader Iain Gray has pledged to bring about a "green housing revolution" by installing solar panels, wind turbines and renewable heating systems to thousands of properties if Labour wins the election.
"As well as cutting carbon emissions, insulating our homes will help us to eradicate fuel poverty. Nobody in Scotland should be forced to choose between heating their home properly and putting food on the table," he said.
"My ambition is to have more homes producing renewable energy than anywhere else in the UK."
Meanwhile, Forestry Commission Scotland has launched proposals to split Scotland's forests into lots to see whether energy suppliers can develop onshore wind farms there.
The plans have been met favourably by environmental groups because any trees that are felled in the installation of renewable energy sites would be replaced.
