Individuals looking to find cheap gas and electricity prices may be able to benefit from a campaign to be launched next month to help Brits cut the amount they spend on fuel.
Big Energy Week will run from January 16th to 21st and will see events held around the country offering practical advice on how to cut their expenditure.
Organised by Citizens Advice, the drive has the support of consumer groups, energy suppliers, the government and energy regulator Ofgem.
Chief executive of Citizens Advice Gillian Guy said: "More and more people are coming to us for advice on how to spend less on their fuel bills."
She added the event will give people a chance to learn what they can do to reduce the financial burden of keeping warm through the winter.
The campaign was among the outcomes of an energy summit held in Downing Street in October, which also saw energy suppliers agree to make their bills clearer.
