Innovatively designed radiator panels developed by Joulesave Ltd could help homeowners enjoy better access to cheap energy.
Joulesave has launched the Heatkeeper Energy Saving Radiator Panels which comprise metallised sheets of PVC. The panels are fastened against the wall behind domestic radiators and utilise a 'saw-tooth' design to improve the flow of warm air in a room.
The intention is to reduce the loss of heat by keeping warm air in the room for a longer period by cutting down on the amount of heat lost directly through the walls.
Bob Shire, director at Joulesave Ltd, said: "Our radiator panels will put these consumers in control by helping them to cut household bills - essential as the economic climate worsens - as well as play a role in reducing global warming."
Energy industry regulator Ofgem has accredited the product which works by creating convection currents behind radiators.
The government has sought to encourage homeowners to install cavity wall and loft insulation to further reduce heat loss. Consumers could also switch energy supplier in pursuit of the best deals.
