The Energy Saving Trust (EST) has launched a competition to help homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their homes and reduce bills from their energy suppliers.
Five people who answer an energy-related question correctly will have their lofts insulated free of charge.
In order to be eligible to take part in the competition, entrants have to be resident in England and their lofts must have less than 60mm of insulation in place prior to the work commencing.
The EST hopes the competition will raise awareness about the importance of energy efficiency and encourage homeowners to take active steps to reduce their bills.
It is estimated that half of the heat lost in the typical home is through walls and lofts that are insufficiently insulated. Installing loft insulation could save homeowners £150 a year.
Last month, the Technology Strategy Board launched a competition to reward companies that design solutions which significantly improve the energy efficiency of homes.
