Households with energy debts can now take advantage of a new information and advice initiative from EDF.
The energy provider has partnered with Citizens Advice to launch a new debt support scheme.
Consumers struggling with high energy bills can take advantage of free, tailored guidance to suit their needs.
Martin Lawrence, managing director of energy sourcing and customer supply at EDF, said: "We understand that issues with debt can be extremely stressful. But we know we have found the right partner with Citizens Advice to help people having problems with their household bills, particularly those in fuel poverty."
A household is said to be living in fuel poverty if it spends ten per cent or more of its income on heating.
