Householders in Wales who are in need of cheap electricity tariffs to drive down energy bills might be able to access help from a new government scheme.
Nest, which is being operated by energy supplier British Gas and the Energy Saving Trust, will provide struggling consumers with tailored advice to improve the energy efficiency of their home in order to save money on utility bills.
Those living in the hardest to heat properties may also be eligible for a whole-house improvement package funded by the Welsh Assembly.
Environment minister Jane Davidson commented: "We know that rising fuel prices are having a detrimental effect on householders across Wales and that the poorest families in Wales are being particularly hard hit.
This is why the assembly is committed to helping the most vulnerable people.
"The new scheme is all about ensuring that help to tackle fuel poverty is targeted at those householders that need it most," she added.
