Domestic energy users in Hampshire are being offered the chance to lower their gas and electricity bills by taking part in a cheap insulation programme.
The Insulate Hampshire scheme offers the first 5,000 Havant residents to sign up the opportunity to purchase energy saving cavity wall filler from £75 and loft insulation from £99.
Tony Briggs, leader of Havant borough council, comments: "The council has been working hard to raise awareness of ways to reduce your energy consumption which will also save you money."
Meanwhile, National Energy Action has advised those looking to offset the rising cost of energy this summer to make energy efficiency in their home a priority, as this can cut household bills by retaining heat inside the home.
Consumers can also switch energy tariffs online.
