Business energy clients looking to save money on their utility bills might be interested to hear that supermarket chain Morrisons has teamed up with EDF.
The energy supplier will be working with the retailer to make £1 million worth of savings each year, with EDF helping Morrisons to cut carbon emissions by 30 per cent by the end of this decade.
BusinessGreen reported that Sid Cox, director of business to business at the energy supplier, commented: "EDF Energy is guaranteeing that the first £1 million of Morrisons' energy savings underlines our confidence in delivering energy management projects that make a real difference to our customer's bottom line."
Both companies will also join forces to implement energy efficiency awareness in staff practice, which aims to save £2 million in energy costs by the end of 2011.
Mr Cox noted that this will be part of ongoing "common sense measures".
