Equipower

Equipower is the electricity division of Ebico and was founded in 1998. It is a not-for-profit Company, with a stated aim to harness the power of ‘the market’ to tackle real issues of social concern.

Equipower's guiding principles are a bias towards those on low incomes and stewardship of resources. The company’s initiatives have been open to all households since 1999.

They offer low prices particularly for prepayment customers and a basic service. We have had mixed reviews from customers who have tried to switch them. Some have found it very difficult, others straightforward.

Ebico uses Scottish and Southern Energy as their licensed supplier to deliver EquiGas and EquiPower.

Equipower Service Rating

Equipower was launched in 2005. This innovative service enables individuals, households and organizations to use the Europe-wide market in Carbon Dioxide to offset the CO2 “footprint” they produce.
