Manweb is an electricity and gas supplier formerly based in the North West and North Wales. The brand was phased out in 2007 following the company’s takeover by Scottish Power.
The ScottishPower Group supplies utility services to around 5 million customers in the UK.
ScottishPower’s cheapest tariff is generally their Online Energy Saver 4 tariff. On this tariff, customers get a discount as they no longer receive a paper bill. Instead, the customer can access their account via an email which links to the Scottishpower website. Customers on the online tariff can still make use of ScottishPower’s telephone-based services, such as the call centre and emergency numbers.
Manweb offers a range of gas and electricity products. Typical prices in June 2007 for an average UK home and the UK’s cheapest possible prices are:
| Supplier & Tariff | Gas & | Typical Gas Bill | Typical Electricity Bill |
| Best deal on energyhelpline.com | £733 | £471 | £262 |
| Manweb Standard | £880 | £508 | £372 |
| Capped Price until 2010 | £978 | £601 | £377 |
