British Gas - Green Standard

Electricity for this tariff is generated from environmentally friendly sources such as Wind Farms, and is offered to customers at no additional cost. Customers will be on the green tariff until at least March 31st 2008, after which they will revert back to normal energy supply arrangement

British Gas's partner, Carbon Neutral Company, will plant a new sapling for every 10 customers signing up. Customers will also get a quarterly environmental e-magazine

British Gas has been given by us a 3 star service rating as they have a 24x7 call centre and excellent services to pay bills and submit meter reads online; however they also had the highest level of customer complaints in the industry in 2006 (source: Energywatch) with 3 times the level of complaints than their nearest competitor.
