Cutting refrigeration costs can save 20 per cent on energy bills - 19/07/2011
Business energy users wanting to compare energy prices might be pleased to hear that they will be able to save money on their refrigeration power bills by following newly released guidance.
The Carbon Trust has published its advice on cutting down energy usage for commercial fridges, which could streamline the budgets of food companies, haulage firms and businesses involved in meat, poultry and fish processing.
Small retailers that use refrigerated cabinets could save up to 70 per cent of their energy by listening to the trust's advice, which is available on its website.
Richard Rugg, director of delivery services at the Carbon Trust, commented: "Any business seeking to cut its costs should be looking at its energy bills and for many companies refrigeration accounts for a large part of those energy costs.
"Savings of up to 20 per cent are possible with simple no and low cost steps. If your business uses refrigeration, it's an opportunity that's too good to miss," he added.
