Many busy mums in the UK could take advantage of one energy supplier's online tools to help manage their accounts.
Research by British Gas revealed a new generation of parents are frequently turning to the internet to keep in control of their hectic lives, with seven out of ten taking advantage of the technology.
Almost 40 per cent said they sought to juggle managing their finances and paying energy bills at the same time as they complete housework tasks.
Digital director at the firm Tim Copper therefore said the tools British Gas provides could be highly useful in helping mums save time and hassle.
"From submitting meter readings to checking their balance really easily at the touch of a button, online or via our app, we're making it easier customers to stay in control of their energy every day," he said.
Recently, a study by E.ON revealed 30 per cent of mums who opt to work from home have seen increased energy bills as a result of leaving the office.
