E.ON approves of DECC energy plans - 13/04/2012

E.ON has announced its support of new proposals by the coalition that aim to make it easier for consumers to find the best gas and electricity prices.

Chief executive of E.ON Dr Tony Cocker agreed with the outlined Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) measures, which hope to see more engagement between customers and the big six energy companies.

The announced plans were in line with what E.ON had already started to introduce with their Reset Review, which has made changes around pricing, the number of tariffs available and the way customers pay for their energy.

Dr Cocker said E.ON is committed to finding the right tariffs for their customers and helping them take control of their energy use.

He said: "When I spoke with Ed Davey - the Energy Minister - last week on DECC's proposals, I was supportive of the main proposals today and told him that I was pleased that they echoed measures and initiatives that we have already put in place."
