What does heating cover include?
There are two types of heating cover included on our website:
- Home Emergency Insurance – this covers not just heating and hot water systems, but also electrics, plumbing, broken windows, lost keys, vermin, and more
- Heating Insurance or Heat Cover only – this typically only covers heating and/or hot water systems, but not other home emergencies
Among these two categories there are a variety of different features to choose depending on the plan you’re after and how much you want to pay. Options to consider include annual inspections, unlimited callouts and guarantees on when help will arrive.
It’s worth taking the time to read the small print to see what is and isn’t covered. For example, you may be limited to a certain number of callouts a year, the financial amount of work that will be carried out in the year, or even what constitutes an emergency!
In addition, some providers may not cover boilers over a certain age, so again read the small print.
