Business energy customers are increasingly putting into practice sustainable measures, which will help them to meet performance goals, a research company has suggested.
Chris Mines, senior vice-president and research director at Forrester, noted that sustainability "is sustainable - the commitments that companies are making to us indicate that this is not going away any time soon", and it is clear that sustainability is not a trendy fad.
Being sustainable in business energy practices also helps companies to function better as a team, as it sets a focus and allows firms to work together to achieve performance goals, he said.
"Sustainability is no longer a separate set of goals running parallel to financial or market goals; instead sustainability is being woven into the fabric of performance and the performance indicators of many companies," Mr Mines added.
His comments were made during the opening speech at the Green IT Expo, held in London this week. The event helps broadband and business decision-makers to identify environmentally friendly technologies and look into how to put them into practice.
