Businesses in Lincolnshire could look to switch energy to renewable sources with the help of a new firm operating in the area.
Windcrop, which installs and maintains small-scale wind turbines, is looking to expand into the county and recently presented its offerings at Revesby Country Fair, the Lincolnshire Echo reports.
The East Anglia-based firm has worked closely with farmers, smallholders, schools and businesses to fit the green solutions and claims a single turbine can cut bills by up to £500 a year.
It can also greatly reduce an organisation's carbon footprint and the firm stated the 15 metre high turbines have a minimal environmental impact, while it takes into account ecological, heritage and landscape sensitivities when installing the equipment.
Exhibiting the turbines at the country fair on August 5th, Windcrop said it hopes to demonstrate the benefits of the technology to local communities.
The firm currently operates in the east of England, the Midlands and Yorkshire and is expanding with new offices in the south-west, Wales and Scotland.
