Gas Central Heating Cover NB: There is an initial 28-day period when you're not covered, giving you 11 months' cover in your first year. This makes the effective cost of cover £9.96 a month. A Central Heating breakdown isn't much fun. Central Heating is important so you might consider taking our HomeServe's Gas Central Heating Breakdown Insurance. You'll get full gas central heating system cover for most types of problem (exclusions apply such as sludge or corrosion), with unlimited claims and guaranteed repairs. You won't have to fill out forms and we always send a HomeServe approved Gas Safe Registered engineer when you need one, all year round. You get this for a annual fee together with a £50 charge each time a repair is needed. This cover meets the needs of homeowners who require insurance and expert assistance in the event of a gas central heating breakdown. What you get with Gas Central Heating Breakdown Cover (inclusions): · Cover includes all call out costs, parts and labour and VAT · Repairs by a HomeServe approved Gas Safe Registered engineer · A guarantee on all permanent repairs for the lifetime of your cover · £200 towards a new boiler if it's beyond economical repair What Gas Central Heating Breakdown Insurance can't cover (exclusions): · No claims in the first 28 days just for the first year · Anything that isn't part of your gas central heating system, such as the cold water tank, its feed and outlet · Replacement of the central heating boiler or appliances Customers pay a lower monthly premium and then simply pay an excess of £50 each time a repair is needed.
