Low-energy light bulbs are being offered to firms in Bath in a bid to help them secure cheap energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint.
The Bath Business Improvement District (Bid) has launched the scheme, which will see 800 free sample LED bulbs made available, SouthWest Business reports.
Companies will be able to trial the devices on a first come first served basis and see how the light bulbs can save them money.
Andrew Cooper, Bath BID manager, explained how not only will small and medium-sized businesses be given the bulbs, but they will be offered a free on-site lighting survey.
He said: "This is a chance for somebody to come across their threshold and show them what savings can be made."
Mr Cooper was appointed city centre manager in Bath in 2008 and has more than 13 years experience in retail, with his efforts recognised when he was voted the city's man of the year.
