Many mums who work from home are seeing their gas and electricity bills soar.
New research from E.ON and Mumsnet found 30 per cent of women pay more for their energy since they left the office.
While 49 per cent revealed their house is messier, 43 per cent find it hard to concentrate on their job and 34 per cent have more washing up to do.
E.ON energy expert Beverley Maguire said although working from home can be a positive move, it also has practical implications.
She told women to look at their energy tariff and make sure it's the right one for their needs.
Ms Maguire said people should try only heating the rooms they are working in and not turning on the TV to save power.
This comes after National Work from Home Day, which was organised by Work Wise UK, was held last Friday (May 18th).
