Energy suppliers the National Trust and npower have received new certification confirming the eco benefits of their green energy tariffs.
The National Trust Green Energy tariff and npower's Juice option have both been given the official green energy certified label, designed to show which tariffs from different energy suppliers have environmental benefits.
Such certification could help individuals who are looking to switch gas provider to a more eco-friendly supplier find suitable options.
Group product manager at npower Matt Cole said: "We're thrilled that our npower Juice and National Trust Green Energy tariffs have got the official green stamp of approval - and they cost no more than our standard tariffs."
He added that both price plans have associated funds supporting energy efficiency projects.
The National Trust tariff may appeal to consumers looking to switch energy provider to a tariff that uses electricity from renewable sources, as this option uses 100 per cent renewable electricity.
