British Gas Business has launched a new service aimed at helping corporate customers improve their business energy efficiency.
CRC Manager will make it easier for businesses to comply with the government's new Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Energy Efficiency Scheme by offering a range of services including help with their carbon and energy strategies.
Business energy customers will also benefit from tailored recommendations on how to reduce their energy and carbon use.
British Gas Business' Energy360 team will be tasked with delivering the CRC Manager scheme, which itself forms part of a wider package of business energy management services from British Gas that provide advice and support.
Jeff Whittingham, director of energy services and British Gas Business, said: "By allowing companies to plan their energy reduction strategy, based on accurate results and forecasts, CRC Manager both helps with compliance as well as using the opportunity to commercial advantage."
The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme is expected to affect up to 20,000 UK organisations - specifically businesses with an annual electricity bill of over £500,000.
