Energy supplier E.ON has encourages homeowners to undertake DIY tasks this Easter weekend that could help them get cheap gas and electricity bills.
According to the firm, 29 per cent of individuals plan to do nothing over the holiday, so it suggested people should make practical use of their time and improve their insulation measures, as this can provide a number of benefits.
Mike Feely, energy fitness expert at E.ON, said: "Not only does it keep your home warmer in winter and cooler in the summer months but it can also help lower your energy bills too."
As part of the firm's commitment to helping people boost the efficiency of their homes, E.ON is also funding a buy one, get three free offer on all loft insulation sold at DIY retailer Jewson.
Recently, head of new home service at E.ON Phil Gilbert told BusinessGreen the firm has completed its preparations for the Green Deal and is ready to begin fitting insulation when the programme begins, provided there are no major changes to the scheme.
