British Gas has launched a new internet deal for its cheap energy customers, which will see their annual bill come in at under £900.
The energy supplier's Websaver 11 offer is, at £895 a year, three per cent cheaper than its previous Websaver 10 deal and £12 less than E.ON's Save Online v5 at £907.
Mark Todd, director of energy comparison site energyhelpline.com, commented: "This is a good deal for consumers and once again shows that real savings can be made by switching from standard dual fuel tariffs to internet deals."
However, consumers will need to act fast if they want to take up the offer.
"A typical customer can save around £250 a year by switching to it. The deal is bucking the market whose momentum has been upwards since last April and I expect it to provide only a brief reversal of this trend," Mr Todd added.
The news comes after all of the Big Six energy suppliers hiked prices in standard cheap gas and electricity tariffs.
