Energy company Coolpower has launched a new system that helps improve domestic and business energy efficiency.
The energy and micro-generator controller, EMMA, helps domestic and commercial buildings manage the energy output of grid-connected solar panels, micro wind and hydro turbines more effectively.
According to Coolpower, EMMA is capable of managing and matching energy supply and demand in any household and effectively quadrupling the value of electricity from a micro-generator - energy which would otherwise be exported to the grid.
Any surplus energy is diverted to additional storage devices in the building such as hot water tanks, storage heaters and electric underfloor heating for later use.
Richard Linger, director of Coolpower, said: "EMMA represents a step changing innovation for the management of energy in our homes, providing a unique, cost effective and sustainable energy management system for grid-connected micro-generators."
Over the coming months, Coolpower intends to promote awareness of EMMA among the green cheap energy and construction trade sectors, as well as among domestic customers.
