E.ON teams up with Tesco for fixed-price tariff deal - 25/05/2011

Energy suppliers often launch partnerships with other companies to encourage more customers to sign up to their cheap energy tariffs.

Now E.ON has done the same to help consumers see their pounds go a little bit further.

The energy supplier has teamed up with Tesco so every customer who signs up to the E.ON Fixed Price 5 tariff can earn Clubcard points, or exchange their Clubcard vouchers to pay towards their energy bills.

Graham Bartlett, managing director of the energy company's Energy Solutions division, commented: "We're committed to offering our customers a range of competitive deals and market-leading innovations.

"Our new fixed price product gives customers complete reassurance against any future price rises until 2013, as well as the opportunity to pay all or part of their bill with Tesco Clubcard vouchers," he added.

Meanwhile, customers might wish to carry out an energy comparison to find a fixed-rate deal ahead of potential price hikes this year.
