Business energy users might be interested to learn that a British contingent of firms has travelled to the US to explore trading opportunities for green companies.
The six enterprises, which range from a small independent brewery based in Suffolk to a global insurance broker, join climate change minister Greg Barker across the Pond this week.
"The companies joining me on this US trade mission are living proof of the economic benefits of the new green economy and can therefore help me make the case that going green is good for the economy, as well as energy security," the government representative said.
"My message will be that Britain is open for green business investment," Mr Barker added.
The five-day trip will see the group visit Washington DC, Philadelphia, Charlotte in North Carolina and Columbia in South Carolina.
Mr Barker and the business representatives will meet with other companies, politicians, investors and regional development agencies to explore opportunities for UK firms in the US markets.
