More people may be able to compare energy prices from green sources following discussions of marine power at an upcoming conference in Scotland.
The Scottish Renewables Marine Energy Conference will be held at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness on November 12th and will involve around 200 delegates from a range of sectors affected by marine power, including the financial, shipping and fishing industries.
Attending the seminar will give delegates the opportunity to meet other people in the industry and stay in touch with wider developments.
Alex Paterson, director of regional competitiveness for Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the conference's sponsor, said: "Some of the best wave and tidal resources in the world can be found off the north and north-west coasts of Scotland. Marine energy presents a huge opportunity for businesses in the Highlands and Islands."
The government in Westminster recently announced plans to develop more wind farms around the UK's coastline, which have attracted the attention of overseas investment.
