Sainsbury's Energy has announced that it will give customers who switch energy deals to its new online tariff a £50 welcome bonus.
Customers who sign up to the Online S@ver Version 6 will receive the 'golden hello' credited to their electricity account within 90 days of becoming a customer.
The £50 offer is only available to new Sainbury's Energy customers who choose duel fuel or electricity before June 30th 2010.
Sainbury's said it will guarantee consumers a two per cent minimum discount on its standard tariff unit rates until June 30th 2011, with an early termination fee of £25 for electricity and gas if they switch energy suppliers before that date.
Experts urged consumers thinking of switching energy tariffs to first compare energy deals to make sure they are getting the best offer.
Sainsbury's Energy is supplied by French-based EDF Energy, which is one of the big six energy suppliers.
