Npower launches cheap energy deal for online customers - 19/10/2010
Energy suppliers npower has unveiled a new online energy deal for customers wanting to find good utility prices.
Sign Online 20 promises to discount bills against the standard npower rates until December 2011.
Consumers looking to compare gas and electricity prices could save up to £255 with the deal, which is only available to those paying by monthly direct debit. The payment includes the annual discount in the first year.
The cheap energy deal allows customers to manage their account online, giving them the opportunity to view bills, send meter readings and contact customer services at the click of a button.
Meanwhile, npower is offering a free home electricity monitor for current customers who sign up for paperless billing, which displays a real-time breakdown of household energy use.
The company states such technology is conducive to reducing energy consumption in the home, as research shows the monitors help households to cut their usage by 15 per cent in the first year.
