A housing group has been shortlisted for an energy saving award for its work helping residents to reduce their carbon emissions.
Wherry Housing Association has been recognised for its Wherry is Saving Energy (Wise) project, 24dash.com reports.
The scheme sees energy efficient improvements made to properties, alongside encouragement for residents to change their behaviour and reduce energy usage.
Wise is run in partnership with British Gas and has been nominated in the energy saving initiative of the year category at the Sustainable Housing Awards 2012.
Acting managing director of Wherry Housing Association Sue Stavers said: "Wise is a really important scheme that helps our residents with the growing challenge of heating and powering their homes affordably."
The awards will feature some of the UK's leading green organisations and sustainable pioneers.
