Research from energyhelpline.com reveals a potential £2 billion energy bill saving across the UK has disappeared since February for the country’s 21 million gas and electricity customers.
Domestic energy users who switch to gas or electricity could save an average of £200 a year.
This figure is £88 less than three months ago, due to energy suppliers withdrawing their best deals.
Mark Todd, director of the energy comparison site, says consumers should act quickly to take advantage of the cheap deals still available online.
He added: There is a distinct North-South divide on energy prices in the UK. Northern customers tend to be more loyal; while Southerners tend to switch more.
However, one of the cheapest energy regions is the Scottish Highlands, whilst the Scottish Lowlands is the most expensive. These regions are right next to each other yet have big differences in prices.
