The growth of renewable energy is not only helping to bring cheap electricity to the UK, but also boosting the employment sector.
This is according to communications manager at RenewableUK Adam Bell, who explained how onshore and offshore wind is a driving force for the jobs market.
It was noted the green energy industry is "providing a boost to our economy in times when traditional investment is in short supply".
Mr Bell commented that investment in renewable power and expansion in the sector must continue.
The expert claimed the government needs to present evidence of costs if it intends to make changes to support for low-carbon energy.
This is due to green power "delivering jobs, income and energy to the UK".
Mr Bell's remarks follow a recent warning from wind power firms, who claimed they will take the government to court if they become caught in a political row over subsidies.
