Many medium-sized business electricity clients are concerned the energy deals on offer do not meet their needs.
A survey by npower revealed 44 per cent of companies believe they are not well catered for by the current options, with 90 per cent wanting to see more tools available to help them control their business energy buying.
This could be important for many organisations, as energy costs were said to be a bigger concern to firms than cash flow, security and legislation.
Therefore, npower has announced it is introducing two products tailored specifically to these companies.
Head of product management and strategy Jon Davies said: "Our research shows there is a lack of products specifically [for SME’s] - so we are addressing this by being the first energy supplier to market with propositions directly targeted at this sector."
Last month, npower urged commercial users to manage their energy usage carefully over the winter period, as this is when demand is highest.
