The first forums run by energy supplier SSE, which invited customers to give their views on the industry, have been hailed as a success.
Meetings took place at the headquarters of the firm's subsidiaries Swalec and Scottish Hydro in Cardiff and Perth respectively.
Head of customer service at Swalec Gareth Wood was on hand in Cardiff to find out what issues matter most to consumers and said he was pleased with the outcome of the event.
He stated: "We gained some really positive and challenging feedback and we are already looking at ways of implementing some of the suggestions the group made."
The meeting revealed the majority of consumers felt they had received excellent customer service and were enthusiastic about developments such as the Annual Energy Review from the firm.
Meanwhile, chair of the Scottish Hydro forum Sarah Beattie-Smith, from Citizens Advice Scotland, welcomed the steps the company has taken to listen to customers.
She added it is clear the biggest issue for users is the high cost of energy and called on Scottish Hydro to act on the suggestions it received to improve its service.
