Business energy customers looking to switch energy suppliers to get a better deal may be interested to hear how one firm has helped thousands of companies cut their costs.
According to npower, 10,000 small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) have now signed up to its SmartStart scheme, which offers tools and advice on how organisations can reduce their expenses in this area.
Head of customer loyalty at npower Patrick Harvey said services such as this can be invaluable to SMEs, as 53 per cent of such firms have no measures in place to manage their energy efficiency, which he suggested may be due to a lack of resources.
"The ethos behind SmartStart is to help businesses realise the savings they can make by providing the right advice and support," he stated, adding: "It's great to see so many SMEs are taking energy efficiency seriously."
Recently, a study by the Federation of Small Businesses revealed 57 per cent of companies said rising energy bills are a serious issue.
