Advice has been offered to business energy customers that could help them to get cheap gas and electricity.
Urban design and planning consultant Julie Morgan explained companies can make their operations greener by choosing an eco-friendly office space.
She recommended using the internet to look at the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order.
This will allow enterprises purchasing new premises to check the use class of the building, which details the purpose for which the property has been built.
For example, while A1 Shops are retail spaces or warehouse for the likes of hairdressers, sandwich bars, post offices or travel agencies, B1 Businesses are office spaces.
By looking at the use class, enterprises will be able to work out the potential cost of making the space greener and introducing energy efficient measures that may allow them to cut their gas and electricity bills.
"Following that, you can see what you can and can't do," Ms Morgan continued.
