Householders wanting to find cheap energy deals by carrying out an energy comparison search might be interested in a new campaign soon to be launched by Ed Miliband.
The Mirror reported that the Labour leader is set to unveil plans to stop energy suppliers overcharging their customers, either by breaking up the Big Six or by forcing them to act more competitively.
Deputy leader Harriet Harman told the newspaper that Mr Miliband hopes his plans will have the same effect as the recent swell of public opinion towards the Rupert Murdoch BSkyB bid.
"If public interest can override a billionaire, perhaps it's the same for energy firms," Ms Harman noted.
Meanwhile, the Independent reported that two more firms - E.ON and npower - could announce price hikes of their own this week, which will take the number of suppliers raising their gas and electricity tariffs to five.
