npower have embarked on a new campaign to highlight the services it provides for blind and partially sighted customers.
The company has teamed up with the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association to meet with blind people and their guide dogs at selected lunchtime visits in npower's offices across the north-east of England.
Employees of npower have been encouraged to sponsor a puppy, get involved with volunteering, and recycle for charity.
Gary Doig, npower's community investment manager in the north-east, said the company has been delighted to sponsor a puppy through the corporate charity committee and hopes to continue with the initiative.
It was recently reported that npower has teamed up with Scottish and Southern Energy to build a cheap energy wind farm 30 kilometres off the Suffolk Coast after securing rights from the Crown Estate.
The Galloper offshore wind farm will have a capacity of 500 megawatts and will form part of the existing Greater Gabbard project.
