Householders seeking a cheap energy deal on a fixed rate might be inclined to do so quickly before energy suppliers pull more of their tariffs off the market to new domestic energy customers.
Npower has done just that with its Go Fix 6 offer, which cost £1,014 on average and guaranteed customers would pay a fixed price until July 31st 2012.
However, the removal of the deal could signify the beginning of further gas and electricity price hikes, following on from ScottishPower and British Gas' announcements that they will be implementing double-figure increases from next month.
Experts are urging consumers to consider fixing soon as the remaining cheap energy deals are not expected to last much longer.
