Scottish Power has been named the energy supplier to take on Yorkshire Energy's (also known as Daisy Energy) 74,000-strong customer base.
Along with a competitive tariff, Scottish Power will also honour outstanding credit balances, including money owed to both existing and former customers of Yorkshire Energy.
The energy supply of existing customers will remain the same, and the switch to the Scottish Power tariff will take place on 6th December 2020.
Customers will be contacted within the coming days to let them know more. If customers wish to switch energy suppliers once they've seen the tariff they're going to be put on, they will not be charged an exit fee.
Philippa Pickford, Ofgem’s director of retail, said:
“I am pleased to announce we have appointed Scottish Power for the customers of Yorkshire Energy. Their energy supply will continue as normal and domestic customer credit balances will be honoured.
“Scottish Power will be in contact with customers over the coming days with further information. Once the transfer has been completed, customers can shop around for a better deal if they wish to.”
If you're a Yorkshire Energy customer you can switch your energy with us, but wait until you've been contacted by Scottish Power telling you you're new tariff has taken effect before you do!
