Following the news of the price cap rising, npower are the most recent energy supplier to announce a price increase.
Ofgem's price cap will rise by £96 from 1st April, allowing suppliers to charge customers on default tariffs up to £1,138. npower has recently reported they will charge the upper limit of the cap for all customers on standard variable tariffs.
With many suppliers yet to announce an inevitable price increase, we'd suggest switching to a fixed tariff to lock in your price per unit and to protect yourself from the 1st April energy increase.
